Hall’s Gateway to the Lowveld will be hosting the Nelspruit annual Plant Fair on the weekend from the 29 to 31 of August. This event is not to be missed by Nelspruit’s plant enthusiasts as there will be Clivias, Cycads and Orchids on show, auction and for sale.

Lou-Nita held us all spellbound in June, so much so that we went way over time and decided to invite her back for part two. If you missed part one, I am sure she will summarise but there will still be lots of information and photos to enthral you.
Visit the Grobler family Orchid farm at Alkmaar/Schagen. They are holding an Open day from 8:00am to 4:00 pm.
Being an open day you can arrive and leave at your leisure and also meet up with many other Orchid and botanically interested/interesting folk. Refreshments will be available.
The National Cupcakes for Kids with Cancer Day is 2 weeks away and now the pressure is on to ensure we get 2500…
If you’re not able to bake cupcakes for the event but would like to contribute , Mom’s Notes together with Crossings super spar have the solution . Spar will bake cupcakes with you company logo printed on the cupcakes for this special occasion. For the amount of R600.00 you could donate 100 cupcakes.
Donations are very welcome to add to the kitty! Last year we raised R20 000 of which R15 000 went to CANSA LOWVELD TLC (kids cancer) and R5 000 to Rotary Camp Quality. Throughout South Africa we raised over a MILLION RAND on National Cupcake Day last year! What’s raised here stays in the Lowveld! The goal is to double last year and raise R40 000 this year! Should you be able to donate a PRIZE for a lucky draw this too would be appreciated!

After a very successful 2014 airshow the Lowveld Model Aircraft Club is planning an even bigger and better event this year on the 1st and 2nd August 2015…
